Apologies for my severe lack of posts recently, however as Holly explained it’s been busy busy busy for some reason. Anyway back to matters more important…weddings!
So having kept up to speed with everything through my RSS reader I stumbled upon a post on Vintage Glam Weddings, a really cool little site that I often check on. I love the idea of taking some of these vintage ideas and infusing them into a modern theme. This particular post was on vintage wedding gloves, something I haven’t really thought about before as they seem have long gone out of style. However I am going to request that we bring them back! I think gloves, especially the shorter varieties, are very elegant and can add that extra bit of detail and style to an overall outfit. I love the idea of having a plain dress and bringing together other colours in the wedding through a matching sash and pair of gloves (which could easily be replicated through the bridesmaids as well).
This shouldn’t just be considered for the bridal party though, it is a lovely idea for any guest attending a wedding who wants to make a plain dress look classy. Coupled with a fascinator and you’re sorted! (shamless plug to a previous post of mine…)
As suggested on Vintage Weddings these little gloves can be found in markets and vintage shops everywhere . Take a look for yourself!
